Meet Joi Adams and Janette Ellis, the Rock-Mom sister duo who are unapologetically rocking out motherhood. You can join them in the Rock-Mom club; throw your hair into a bun, slap some lipstick on, and just do it! It may not always be easy being a mother, but it's worth it!

In addition to dodging LEGO landmines (save the feet!), sneaking and devouring snacks in the bathroom, and being a wife, Joi is a Senior Consultant and Deputy Lead, supporting a variety of clients, from Fortune 100 companies to the federal government. She maintains a big picture philosophy with a focus on goals and a keen eye to details.
She is a co-founders of Sister Sister Publishing and The Bougie Bunch Group (TheBBGroup) where she is the Chief Technology Officer and “The Bougie Visionary.” She leads all digital and creative initiatives. The BB Group is a safe networking space for women of color to network. The Bougie Brunch offers women of color the opportunity to also connect with major brands and companies interested in reaching this booming demographic. The BB Group has been featured in several publications such as HuffPost, SheenMagazine, Rollinout and Forbes just to name a few.
When she's not planning fabulous events, Mrs. Adams is focused on various projects including writing her second book, writing a TV pilot and traveling the world.
Mrs. Adams earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing from Central State University and a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Marketing from The Art Institute of California – San Francisco. She resides in New York City with her husband, two sons and dog.
