“When you plant good seeds in your child, they will grow into something amazing.” – Joi Adams

Sister Sister Duo

Meet Joi Adams and Janette Ellis, the Rock-Mom sister duo who are unapologetically rocking out motherhood. You can join them in the Rock-Mom club; throw your hair into a bun, slap some lipstick on, and just do it! It may not always be easy being a mother, but it's worth it!

"Sometimes you may not have all the answers, and that's ok. Just know you are doing a great job as a mom. Don't be too hard on yourself. Everyday is a new lesson, so enjoy the process "

– Joi Adams

Baby C is a true gangster of I’m going to get you sucker. Babies do as the lyrics say to the “So Gone” Monica song, “I’m going to kick down your doors and smack your chick.” All I wanted to do last night was find the perfect sleeping position. As my stomach was doing t...

Parenting doesn’t come with a blueprint; you just do it! These precious months of pregnancy that swiftly dwindle down to single digit weeks can be filled with joy, but also fear. Sometimes, you fear whether you’ll be the best Rock-Mom, if you have done enough to prepar...

I’ve always been a family-oriented person; it’s literally etched in my DNA. Growing up in a household with four siblings (five total in our tribe!) was always exciting, although at least one of my sisters always tried to steal my clothes. At the end of the day, when al...

Often times, we say we’re living our best lives without truly digesting the words. Life can be overwhelming at times, and we try to make it seem like we are always living our “best life,” but it’s okay if you’re not. Life is full of ups and downs, and you aren’t always...

Although I truly dislike LEGOs (only because they disrespect my feet), my husband and I couldn’t say no to CJ! He truly loves his LEGOs. We tend to find a LEGO store on every international trip. LEGOs seem to find us, well, at least me because I think they secretly fol...

Honestly, the best part of traveling the world is doing it with my son. My husband and I truly enjoy showing our son the world first-hand versus only reading about it in a text book. The highlight for us after each trip are the many stories he can share with family and...

As a mom, you’ll often find yourself consumed with everything going on around you, and it’s easy to forget that YOU are number one. I often tell new moms and women starting their families that they should never lose their identity. There was life before your child, and...
